~ JAPAN SOCIETY & CULTURE CLASS ~
What are Japan and the Japanese really like? Some things may surprise you and some things, once you know more about them, won’t. This class, in English, is for those who want to know more about the country of Japan itself and various aspects of the Japanese people, their customs, etiquette, mores, culture, do’s & don’t’s, language, sports, education, music, entertainment industry, politics, religion, shrines, daily life, etc. Definitely not a lecture class, it is designed to acquaint you with these and other topics through heavy Question & Answer and Discussion sessions. Topics for the last class will be based solely on your input --- You decide the topic areas! The course is available to members and non-members, those who have been to Japan and those who haven't, and those who speak Japanese and those who do not; all are welcome. Your input, experience, and questions welcome!
